Playtime Pals is an all-day option for our Maine Park Preschool students. Students start their day in our morning play group filled with friends, fun and most importantly, PLAY! At 11:30am, teachers will transport children to their enrichment class to have lunch and enjoy an afternoon of specialty classes before their afternoon preschool class. This program is for our 3 and 4 year old preschool classes only. Playtime Pals participants must be enrolled in an enrichment class and an afternoon preschool class.

Celebrate the luck of the Irish with a Family St. Patrick's Day Celebration! This fun-filled event is perfect for all ages, offering something for everyone. Enjoy traditional Irish music, lively dances, while the little ones partake in exciting activities like face painting, arts & crafts and more. Put on your best green attire and join in the festive spirit. Whether you're looking to enjoy some family-friendly fun or simply soak in the cheerful atmosphere, our St. Patrick's Day celebration is sure to create lasting memories for the whole family!

Do you have the luck of the Irish on your side to catch Park Ridge’s mischiefs Leprechaun? The Park District has the inside scoop and knows when the Leprechaun will be running around Park Ridge leaving a trail of green items and even some gold coins in people’s front yards. Set a trap in your front lawn and see if you can catch him or her! Sign up and the Leprechaun will visit your home and leave green items and trinkets to find in your front lawn along with some gold coins around your trap. The Leprechaun will visit your home between 12-3pm. NOTE: This special event is limited to Park Ridge Park District resident addresses only.

Join us for Earth Day Work Day, the perfect opportunity for service hours or simply giving back to the community in the spirit of Earth Day. We are cleaning up the Maine Park woodland, pond, and prairie. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Due to group size limitations, each person attending the work day must register. Feel free to bring work gloves from home.

Sections & Details

Scout troops, community groups, school groups, church groups, and individuals - help clean up our environment! We will meet at the front of the Maine Park Leisure Center at the flagpole at 4:30pm and walk together down Sibley to the Des Plaines River, where we’ll pick up the unwanted litter. Garbage bags and rubber gloves are provided. Due to group size limitations, everyone attending must register. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
