Oakton Driving Range Currently Closed

June 8, 2026 Update: In early May, it was determined that the irrigation system at the Oakton Driving Range had sustained damage beyond repair. Since then, efforts have been underway to secure and install a new irrigation system to support the long-term health and sustainability of the turfgrass.
Final grading and seeding of the Driving Range was completed on May 15. To support seed establishment, staff secured irrigation cannons and began watering the newly seeded areas. While germination has begun, establishing healthy turfgrass is a gradual process, and the absence of a permanent irrigation system continues to limit watering efficiency and coverage.
At this time, we are optimistic that the Driving Range will be ready to reopen in late summer or early fall, pending continued turf development and installation of the new irrigation system.
Use of the Des Plaines Park District’s Golf Center Driving Range
We have made arrangements with the Des Plaines Park District for Park Ridge Park District residents to receive the resident rate at the Golf Center Driving Range. To receive the discounted rate, please check in at the front desk and ask for the “Park Ridge Special Rate”. This special will remain available until the Oakton Driving Range reopens.
