Request Information

Requests for information and Public Records under the Freedom of Information Act must be made in writing. A written request does not have to be made on a standard form. However, for your convenience, a form is available. You may submit your written request in person at the address listed below – or via mail or email.

Please be as specific as possible in your description of the information being requested so that
the appropriate information can be provided efficiently and cost effectively. The request must
specify whether:
 •  The intended use of the information is for commercial purposes
 •  You would like to inspect the records or request that copies be provided; and/or
 •  Any copies that need to be certified ($1.00 per document)

Fees

•  No fees shall be charged for the first 50 pages of black-and-white copies at letter or legal
size. (After the initial 50 pages, $0.15 will be charged for each additional page for
black-and-white copies.)
•  $0.50 per color copy (letter or legal size)
•  Photographs, plats, maps, specification and other document greater than 8.5" x 14" will
be reproduced at the market price.
•  The cost for certifying a record shall not exceed $1.00.
•  All fees for copying documents are payable at the time copies are made.

Park Ridge, Illinois is a community of an estimated 37,000 residents located 15 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, in a key geographic location close to O’Hare Airport, major expressways and rail transportation. Committee Information - Illinois Public Act 102-1088

In 2022, the State of Illinois enacted Public Act 102-1088 – Decennial Committees on Local Government Efficiency Act. This law requires units of local government that levy any tax, including park districts, forest preserve districts, and conservation districts, to form a committee to study local efficiencies. The Park Ridge Park District passed a resolution to form a Committee on Local Government Efficiency at the May 18, 2023 Park Board Meeting. This Committee met at Prospect Park, Wohlers Hall Board Room at 733 N. Prospect Ave. at 6:30pm on the following dates:
