Join the Park Ridge Youth Commission for an unforgettable pool party filled with fun, music, and excitement! 

Come to Wildwood Nature Center for the Gone Fishin' Derby at the Maine Park ponds. Registration fee includes one container of bait (wax worms or night crawlers) and all participants receive a goody bag. Additional bait is also available for purchase.

Ready for Wildwood’s twist on the classic game of tag? A popular Nature Camp and Discovery Crew game, Zombie Tag is a prairie wide invasion to escape and evade getting tagged by the group of Zombie players.

Bring a picnic (no alcoholic beverages or grills allowed) to Maine East High School and relax before the fireworks begin. Enjoy the evening catching up with friends and family. Join the Park District’s party staff and DJ for an Interactive Dance Party at 6:30pm. Arrive early and get a great spot!

Join us at Hinkley Pool as we float around and enjoy a movie after dark! Bring your favorite pool float for this event to help you relax under the stars and enjoy a flick and float at the pool.

Enjoy a summer night of s’mores, stories, and songs around a campfire with your family. Sit around Wildwood’s campfire circle to sing songs, listen to stories, cook yummy s’mores, and head out around the pond for a nighttime stroll.

Grab the family and join us for a movie in the park! Movie begins at dusk. Arrive early to get a great spot and enjoy concessions provided by the Park Ridge Historical Society. In the event of inclement weather, movies are show indoors at the Paula Hassell O'Connor Community Building at Prospect Park.

Enjoy a day down on the farm! Pet cows, chickens, goats, and more in the petting zoo featuring over 20 animals. Head out on a 50¢ hayride through Wildwood and hop on a pony ($5/ride). Have a rootin’ tootin’ good time with bingo, pig races, games, activities, and crafts.
