Camp Waitlists - NEW for 2025!

If the camp of your choice fills up, sign up for the waitlist. New this year, the Park Ridge Park District will be utilizing Automated Waitlist alerts for managing summer camp waitlists. If a spot opens up and you are the next person on the waitlist, you will receive an automated email from parkridge@rectrac.com. You will have 48 hours to accept or decline the spot. If you do not respond, your spot defaults to decline, and the next person on the waitlist will be notified of the opening. Please be sure to add this email, parkridge@rectrac.com, to your approved email list. Staff does their best to accommodate as many campers as staff and indoor space allows.

How does the Automated Waitlist process work?
The system will identify camps with available space and send an enrollment offer email to the primary email address on the household account. Once the initial enrollment offer email has been sent, you will only have 48 hours to accept or decline the offer. To manage the offer, log into your online account, visit the My Pending Enrollments page from the My Account drop-down, or call us at 847-692-5127 for waitlist assistance over the phone. Reminder emails are sent during the 48 hours and if no response to the offer or the offer expires, an expiration email will be sent. Click here for full instructions for managing waitlist offers.

By visiting the My Pending Enrollments page, you can also track your waitlist status, including what number you are on a waitlist. Or if you no longer need a camp that you are on the waitlist for, you can cancel the waitlist enrollment from this page at any time.

Please contact us at 847-692-5127 with any questions.

Camp Expectations (Code of Conduct)

We want camp to be a great experience for all. In order for this to happen, everyone needs to play a role in creating a positive and safe environment. Campers have a responsibility to help with this as well by:

  • Showing respect to all campers, staff, equipment, and facilities.
  • Behaving in a way that results in only appropriate, kind, and positive interactions with others.
  • Leaving any unnecessary items at home that may cause a distraction at camp, including toys, animals, cell phones, electronics, inappropriate language, weapons, or items that appear to look like weapons.
  • Using caution when playing with others, to avoid close contact or causing bodily harm to others.
  • Keeping the Park Ridge Park District an alcohol, drug, and tobacco free zone.
  • Be completely toilet trained to participate.

Consequences for not following these or any other rules developed for the camps will be shared with the campers each session. In order for this to be successful, the Park District asks for parents’ support in enforcing these guidelines. Staff will address each incident with the camper (and parent if the situation requires) in a positive and fair manner meant to help teach campers how to make better choices. The Park District reserves the right to dismiss a camper whose behavior endangers the well-being of themselves, other participants, or Park District staff. No refunds are issued in these circumstances.
