June 7, 2024 - The playground is now OPEN. The construction fence will be removed soon, but the gates are open and you are welcome to play.
The discovery stream and shade awnings are still to come. We thank you for your patience while we resolve an unforeseen issue with the water feature and wait for the shade awnings to be delivered.
May 31, 2024 - Safety inspections were completed this week. The contractor is working on punch list items, and the playground will be open by end of next week.
May 24, 2024 - The poured in place accent colors were installed today. The contractor is working on finishing touches and adjustments. A punch list was created with the architect this morning.
May 17, 2024 - The poured in place surfacing and landscaping are nearly complete. The swings and zip line are completed, and the contractor is prepping for final inspections.
May 3, 2024 - Concrete work is completed. Landscaping will begin next week.
The playground is prepped for the poured in place surfacing. One of the playground components was damaged in a fire in the contractor's storage yard. It has been re-ordered and delivery is imminent. Once it is installed, the poured in place surfacing will be applied to complete the project.
April 25, 2024 - The project is progressing on schedule. Concrete work is finishing up this week. The playground surfacing is scheduled to be poured in place next week.
April 19, 2024 - Concrete was installed along the pathway and underneath the shelter while earthwork for the water feature continues.
March 13, 2024 - The shelter construction is complete. Concrete is expected to be poured the week of March 18 if weather allows.
February 28, 2024 - The shelter construction is underway.
February 21, 2024 - The contractor has commenced work. Concrete footings for the pavilion have been installed, and work began to excavate the playground water feature.
December 21, 2023 - This week, the concrete curb was poured, trenching for the underdrain occurred, and the utility conflict is be resolved.
December 6, 2023 - Most of the playground elements have been installed. Concrete work, the water play feature, playground surfacing, and landscaping will be installed in the Spring.
November 8, 2023 - The demolition has been completed. Layout is in progress. Most of the playground components have been delivered. The shelter has been delivered. The contractor is intending to complete construction of the playground and shelter this Fall. The playground surfacing will not be installed until spring because the installation is temperature sensitive and requires warmer temperatures.
October 19, 2023 - The construction fence has been installed, and demolition has begun. The contractor is intending to complete construction of the playground and shelter this Fall. However, most likley, the playground surfacing will need to wait until warmer temperatures in Spring for installation.
October 5, 2023 - The construction fence is being installed on Friday, October 6 in preparation for construction starting next week. The playground will not be available for the duration of the project.
September 27, 2023 - Construction on the playground is anticipated to begin in early October. The playground will not be available for the duration of the project.
August 9, 2023 - The playground equipment is estimated to be delivered in October. The contractor will begin the project once the materials are received.
