Young children develop motor skills while having fun running and kicking. Parents and tots work together in this class, learning the basics of soccer. Dribbling, passing, shooting and kicking will all be emphasized. A variety of activities will be played each week. Parents or caregiver participation is required.

This program keeps everyone active and engaged. Our lesson plan hides drills in fun games and uses association techniques that get down to the player's level. Soccer is an action-packed game, so there is no sitting and waiting! We cover simple foot skills, dribbling, passing, shooting, basic rules, and even work on spreading the field. This class keeps players active and prepares them for the next level of play.

Chicago Union runs this week-long camp designed to introduce kids to Ultimate Frisbee while providing a legendary experience! Ultimate is a non-contact, action-packed sport played with a flying disc (Frisbee) where players pass the disc from one player to the next until someone catches it in the opponent’s end zone for a goal, worth one point. Camp participants will learn the basic rules and strategies of Ultimate Frisbee, proper throwing and catching techniques, and basic offensive and defensive play. PROS

Improve your volleyball attack with 90 mins of drills. Spiking 101 is for intermediate players who wish to learn proper arm swing, footwork and jumping technique. Class drills keep player focused on reach and power while plyo-metrics training enhances vertical jump and game performance. The 3-step approach will be taught along with transition attacking.

General Information All participants will receive a team jersey. Registration Information Registration September 3 at 8:30am. Please register your child by grade and gender. Coaches Registration Information Returning coaches will be emailed the forms needed to sign up to coach a team. If you did not coach last season and are interested in forming a team, please email Jim Dihu at jdihu@prparks.org . Please sign up to coach by September 20. Practices Each team has a 1 hour assigned time per week, Mondays through Fridays from 5:30pm-9:30pm. The coaches choose the practice day and time that is convenient for their schedule. Games Teams play one game per weekend. Saturdays between 9:00am-9:00pm or Sundays between Noon-9:00pm.
