Playtime Pals is an all-day option for our Maine Park Preschool students. Students start their day in our morning play group filled with friends, fun and most importantly, PLAY! At 11:15am, teachers will transport children to their enrichment class to have lunch and enjoy an afternoon of specialty classes before their afternoon preschool class. This program is for our 3 and 4 year old preschool classes only. Playtime Pals participants must be enrolled in an enrichment class and an afternoon preschool class. No class dates: Oct 14, Nov 25-29, Dec 23-Jan 3, Feb 17, Mar 25-29, Apr 25

Recycle your pumpkin at the Pumpkin Smash and Bash! Roll your pumpkin down the Centennial Sled Hill in a fun competition that kicks off the event, smash and bash them, then launch them into piles of compost. Go green by helping to clean up the newly smashed pumpkins and learn about composting. Please remove any candles, stickers, and glow sticks before bringing your pumpkin to the event. Event is free, but registration required. When you arrive please check in at the tent.

Do you pride yourself with the scariest or cheeriest Halloween house décor? Let’s see how creative Park Ridge can be! Register for our outdoor Halloween House Decorating Contest. All homes will be judged on Monday, October 21 between 5:30pm-8:30pm by Park District staff. Staff will also take photos and video of your display to share on our Facebook page and be voted on by the public. The photo with the most likes by the end of the day on October 26 will be presented the People’s Choice award. All winners will be announced on October 24, and will have a sign placed in their front yard as a winner of the contest. This contest is open to Park Ridge Park District resident home addresses only.
