Fun is the focus of this 90-minute class that dedicates 30 minutes each to singing, dancing, and acting. Your little star will learn basic vocal techniques, understand timing when singing, refine coordination while working on simple rhythm and dance moves, and explore stories and characters through fun drama games and activities. This Winter/Spring our students will perform Show Toons! An Animated Musical Adventure. This vibrant new musical features characters and songs from some of your favorite animated films including Moana, Zootopia, Monsters Inc, and many more. Students in The Company are divided into three groups based on age. They take a one-hour class in each of our three disciplines: drama, singing, and dance. Broadway Workshop is the perfect class for both beginners looking to gain a solid introduction into the world of musical theater performance, and advanced students ready to refine their skills. Beginners will gain foundational knowledge in acting, singing, and dancing, building confidence while exploring scenes and songs from popular musicals. Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR! Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him.
