Ready for Wildwood's twist on the classic tag? A popular Nature Camp and Discovery Crew game, Zombie Tag is a prairie wide invasion to escape and evade getting tagged by the group of Zombie players. Zombies are marked with an X, and getting tagged by a zombie player will result in one stripe across your own shirt (with tape) or face (with washable paint). A second stripe makes you a full fledged "Zombie" and you join the rest of the mob.

The entire family will enjoy the peaceful night air while sitting around a fire listening to stories, singing songs, and making everyone’s favorite - s’mores! Enjoy a night hike around the pond. Flashlights are not needed, but feel free to bring a blanket or chair to sit on. Fee is per family.

Get ready for a day packed with excitement, fun, and adventure at Konow's Corn Maze. This special trip, designed just for teens, offers a variety of thrilling activities that will create memories to last a lifetime. Whether you're navigating the maze, bouncing on jumping pads, or enjoying live entertainment, there's something for everyone! Be sure to bring money for food. Registration deadline: Oct 4. Departs from Maine Park Leisure Center.

It's that time of the year again when Six Flags Great America transforms into a park filled with ghosts, goblins, chills, and thrills! Monster roller coasters and scary creatures are waiting for you! Make sure you bring extra money for food and souvenirs. The fee includes ticket admission, transportation, and adult supervision. Registration deadline: October 2. Departs from Maine Park Leisure Center.

Turn your family into scientists and explore fun science concepts with us! Make cool discoveries through experiments, projects, and play. There are different activities each month. Please register only one member of your family and dress for mess!

October Topic: Dry Ice Factory – Explore the science of sublimation, creating clouds, capturing "steam" in a bubble, and making smoke rings with a vortex cannon.

Do you pride yourself with the scariest or cheeriest Halloween house décor? Let’s see how creative Park Ridge can be! Register for our outdoor Halloween House Decorating Contest. All homes will be judged on Monday, October 21, between 5:30pm-8:30pm by Park District staff. Staff will also take photos and video of your display to share on our Facebook page and be voted on by the public. The photo with the most likes by the end of the day on October 23 will be presented the People’s Choice award. All winners will be announced on October 24, and will have a sign placed in their front yard as a winner of the contest. This contest is open to Park Ridge Park District resident home addresses only.
