The Park Ridge Park District is proud to announce that we have been awarded a $46,473 grant to install electric vehicle charging stations at the Oakton Sports Complex. This funding is part of the nearly $14.5 million awarded to the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus through a collaborative application for the Federal Highway Administration's Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant. The grant will support the planning, procurement, and installation of electric vehicle charging stations, as well as a compressed natural gas fueling station in the region. The Metropolitan Mayors Caucus application was a collaborative effort involving 34 Chicagoland municipal organizations, with the Park Ridge Park District being the only park district included in this partnership. We extend our gratitude to our part-time Sustainability Coordinator, whose dedicated efforts were instrumental in securing our inclusion in this grant initiative.
