Brickton Park

Open park With five acres of green space there is ample space for a variety of recreation opportunities at Brickton Park! It is one of the larger parks in the southern part of Park Ridge At Brickton Park you can play soccer baseball enjoy the playground or simply take in some fresh air on one of the many park benches
Centennial Park

Open park As one of the District's largest parks Centennial Park offers a wide variety of amenities and is home to three of our facilities Bring a picnic lunch to sit under the pavilion - a space which is also available for private rental The large playground area has something for both young and older children and the walking track around the park provides a passive exercise space During winter months the Centennial Sled Hill is a busy attraction for residents of all ages
Cumberland Park

Open park Cumberland Park was added to the Park District in 1923 as an "open space" or beautification concept park It remains that way still today Surrounded by single family homes this passive park is a nice area to sit relax and take in the beauty of the area With close proximity to the shops restaurants and activities located uptown Cumberland Park is a great place to meet up with friends
Francis Park

Open park This triangular park may be tiny but it is the perfect pit stop on your neighborhood walk to take a rest on the park bench or do some stretches in the grassy area!
Hinkley Park

Open park Hinkley Park was acquired by the District in 1927 primarily due to the dedicated effort of WW Hinkley who served as a Park Commissioner for 25 years The park was originally named Playground Park but later renamed to honor Mr Hinkley This community park is a highlight of the District located in the Uptown area of Park Ridge and features a large variety of amenities for the community Construction will soon begin at Hinkley Park! Improvements include the addition of a picnic pavilion accessible pathways improved batting tunnels game area rain gardens resurfacing of the basketball court and a new playground
Hodges Park

Open park Located directly north of City Hall Hodges Park is the first park established by the Park District Hodges Park is an excellent place for outdoor relaxing during nice weather and hosts many community events throughout the year The annual summer concerts series has been held at this location since the Maine Township High School Band first played here in 1949
Jaycee Park

Open park Tucked inside the eastern edge of Park Ridge Jaycee Park is the quintessential neighborhood park offering several amenities for all ages The colorful playground was renovated in 2017 and the basketball and tennis courts were also recently replaced reopening in 2022 Featuring two different baseball diamonds and plenty of field space Jaycee is a great park to work on sport fundamentals or play a pick-up game with neighbors
Maine Park

Open park Prior to 1954 Maine Park was actually a separate Park District With the approval of voters in both the Maine Park District and the Park Ridge Park District the Park Ridge Park District annexed Maine Park in 1954 The Maine Park Leisure Center which sits at this park was originally Madison School which the Park District leased from School District 64 and later purchased providing space for programs preschool and staff In 2017 the Maine Park Leisure Center was extensively renovated to update the facility and provide new classrooms improved mechanical systems and additional restrooms
Mary Q Alberding Park

Open park Mary Q Alberding Park located at the corner of Northwest Highway and Lundergan Avenue was named in 1977 in honor of the former park board president and two-term park board member in the 1960s Mary Quaite Alberding was instrumental in bringing arts and crafts programs to the Park Ridge Park District She began youth programs in Park Ridge in the 1940s and Park District programs for seniors in the late 1950s
Morgan Park

Open park Morgan Park is an early acquisition for the District It is comprised entirely of parkway space between the north and south traffic lanes of Ashland Avenue from Sibley south to Elm Though this park is simply open space it is wide and long enough to play catch frisbee other casual park games between small groups of friends!
Ni-Ridge Park

Open park Located on the border of Park Ridge and Niles Ni-Ridge Park is a spacious park featuring a colorful playground basketball court and soccer field
North Park

Open park True to its name North Park sits at the north end of town bordering Niles The lighted path through the park leading to the surrounding neighborhoods makes this a great spot to stroll through on a peaceful evening walk
Northeast Park

Open park With easy access from Field School Northeast Park is a beautiful space offering a wide variety of amenities The playground was renovated in 2019 to include some exciting new play structures for kids of all ages NOTICE: Crack repair and new court color coat occurred at Northeast Park this Autumn On October 6 the pickleball and tennis courts opened for play The work was completed ahead of schedule and enjoyed by patrons for several days before a few issues were identified On Friday October 13 staff became aware that there were bubbles and discoloration on the court coating and crack system Additionally some of the net posts are leaning inward Staff is in contact with the project engineer and contractor and these issues will be resolved in the spring Until then the courts are playable although not optimal Please also be aware that additional fencing to separate the pickleball courts is planned and the pickleball courts will close again at a future time for installation Information about when that is occurring will be posted on this page when available Thank you for your patience during construction!
Northwest Park

Oakton Park

Prospect Park

Open park In 2012 the Park Ridge Park District was approached with the unique opportunity to acquire the land now known as Prospect Park In April 2013 the Park District successfully passed a referendum to acquire and develop the 1135 acre property formally known as The Youth Campus Prospect Park opened in May 2016 featuring a variety of recreational amenities for the community The Paula Hassell O’Connor Community Building located at Prospect Park is named in honor of a long-time resident in recognition of a generous financial donation to the District The property remains listed on the National Register of Historic Places due to its social history and architecture The first cottage built here in 1908 named after Hannah Greenebaum Solomon remains on the property and now under a long-term lease agreement is home to the Park Ridge Historical Society Additionally the Emery Building remains preserved on the property This cottage was originally named after the Chicago Woman’s Club of which Jane Addams was an active member
Ridge Park

Open park Ridge Park is a 025 acre park located in the east central area of the District The park blends into the neighborhood with its large mature trees This passive park is adjacent to the existing designated bike path on Belle Plaine Avenue
Rotary Park

Open park Rotary Park was acquired by the District in 1947 and is located at Washington north of Lake Often referred to by local residents as "Hidden Park" because of it's location within the neighborhood it is truly a hidden gem at the end of Washington Street!
South Park

Open park In 1936 the Park District acquired South Park for $27300 from an athletic club in financial trouble At the time this not only added tennis to the growing number of recreational opportunities at the District but also provided the low level area needed for outdoor skating The first outdoor skating rink at South Park was created in the winter of 1948 and still today the District offers outdoor ice skating at South Park The South Park Rec Center was built in 1968 providing space for recreational programs as well as banquet facilities available for rental by the public In 2001 the South Park Wading Pool was remodeled and continues to provide aquatic enjoyment for younger children
Southwest Park

Open park Southwest Parks 69 acres was added to the District in 1956 The park features a new playground installed in 2016 as well as athletic fields and a half-court basketball
Woodland Park

Open park Woodland Park located in the north central part of the District provides 12 acres of park space featuring mature trees and a variety of recreational amenities In 2023 construction was completed at this park adding a variety of new park amenities including pickleball courts a pavilion cornhole boxes a table tennis table and outdoor restrooms
